Paul George
Paul George posts 23/6/5/1 line vs. Indiana
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 4:19 PM
Paul George amassed 23 points (8-of-17 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), six rebounds, five assists, one steal and four three-pointers in Friday's win over the Pacers.
Analysis: George shared the team lead in assists with VJ Edgecombe, a byproduct of the 76ers' lack of starting point guard Tyrese Maxey (illness). While the veteran wing has started slowly after undergoing offseason knee surgery, he enjoyed his best game of the season on Friday. With Joel Embiid able to say the same thing, the 76ers (and fantasy managers) are likely encouraged by what they saw, even with the Pacers being one of the worst teams in the NBA. George will look to end Week 8 on a high note when Philadelphia visits Atlanta on Sunday.
Quentin Grimes
Quentin Grimes grabs nine boards in spot start
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 4:18 PM
Quentin Grimes accounted for 10 points (3-of-9 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), nine rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and two three-pointers in Friday's win over the Pacers.
Analysis: With Tyrese Maxey (illness) unavailable, Grimes made his fifth start of the season on Friday. The rebounds and assists were encouraging, as was his recording a steal and a blocked shot. However, given Grimes' shooting ability, fantasy managers likely hoped to get a bit more from him in the points category. If Maxey can't play on Sunday in Atlanta, look for Grimes to remain in the starting lineup.
Joel Embiid
Joel Embiid scores season-high 39 points vs. IND
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 4:17 PM
Joel Embiid finished Friday's win over the Pacers with 39 points (12-of-23 FGs, 13-of-18 FTs), nine rebounds, three assists, one steal and two three-pointers.
Analysis: For his career, Embiid is averaging 30.9 points per game against the Pacers, so maybe we should have seen Friday's performance coming. The former MVP was sensational on Friday, shooting over 50 percent from the field and making a more concerted effort to attack the Pacers' defenders. That resulted in Embiid attempting 18 free throws, a sign that he may be on the right track recovery-wise. The points and minutes were season-highs for the 7-footer, who played 32 minutes. Philadelphia ends Week 8 with a game against the Hawks on Sunday.
Joel Embiid
Joel Embiid (knee) is available Friday vs. Pacers
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 12:41 PM
Philadelphia 76ers
Joel Embiid (knee) is available to play on Friday against the Pacers.
Analysis: Embiid is active and set to make his second straight appearance for the Sixers. Philadelphia has been off since December 7, when it lost 112-108 to the Lakers in a game in which Embiid logged 30 minutes for just the second time this season. He's averaging 18.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per game thus far. Fantasy managers are hoping the former MVP can stay healthy enough to start to see an increased workload and eventually increased production.
Quentin Grimes
PHI starts Grimes, VJ, George, Barlow, Embiid
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 12:34 PM
Ky Carlin
Quentin Grimes, VJ Edgecombe, Paul George, Dominick Barlow and Joel Embiid will start Friday's game against the Pacers.
Analysis: While the 76ers welcome back Embiid, they'll be without Tyrese Maxey, as he is out with an illness. Grimes moves into the starting lineup, with the move also meaning that Edgecombe will have the ball in his hands more as a primary playmaker. Both players now boast higher fantasy ceilings.
Tyrese Maxey
Tyrese Maxey (illness) out Friday vs. Indiana
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 11:27 AM
Adam Aaronson
Tyrese Maxey (illness) is out for Friday's game against the Pacers.
Analysis: Maxey's status was downgraded from probable to questionable on Friday morning, so things may have been trending in this direction. He's been one of the best players in fantasy basketball this season, and the 76ers won't have an easy time filling the void. Jared McCain could potentially move into the starting lineup, with VJ Edgecombe and Quentin Grimes in line to receive boosts to their opportunities as well. Kyle Lowry is another option to step in for Maxey, but he is not worth streaming.
Tyrese Maxey
Tyrese Maxey (illness) downgraded to questionable
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 7:17 AM
NBA Injury Report
Tyrese Maxey (illness) has been downgraded to questionable for Friday's matchup with the Pacers.
Analysis: Maxey was listed as probable on Friday, so his downgraded status suggests he's in danger of sitting out against Indiana. If Maxey is unable to go, Jared McCain, VJ Edgecombe and Quentin Grimes could pick up the slack using a committee approach.
Tyrese Maxey
Tyrese Maxey (illness) probable Friday vs. Pacers
Thu, Dec 11, 2025, 11:40 AM
Tyrese Maxey (illness) is probable for Friday's game against the Pacers.
Analysis: Maxey is on the injury report with an illness, but appears to be in little danger of missing Friday's game against the Pacers given his probable designation. The 25-year-old point guard has an incredible matchup against the lowly Pacers.
Joel Embiid
Joel Embiid (knees) probable Friday vs. Pacers
Thu, Dec 11, 2025, 11:37 AM
Joel Embiid (knees) is probable for Friday's game against the Pacers.
Analysis: Embiid struggled and had just 16 points on 21 attempts in Sunday's loss to the Lakers. The 31-year-old center played 30 minutes, but has had enough time off that he'll likely suit up Friday against the Pacers given his probable listing.
Kelly Oubre
Kelly Oubre (knee) has not resumed on-court work
Thu, Dec 11, 2025, 7:09 AM
Adam Aaronson
76ers head coach Nick Nurse confirmed that there has been no live, on-court action for Kelly Oubre Jr. (knee) or Trendon Watford (adductor) so far.
Analysis: Oubre has been out since November 14th, and the team said last week that he would be re-evaluated this week. It seems that the evaluation didn't change much in terms of his recovery time. Quentin Grimes will continue to play big minutes and put up top-60 value in fantasy formats.
Joel Embiid
Joel Embiid struggles but plays 30 minutes vs. LAL
Sun, Dec 7, 2025, 4:08 PM
Joel Embiid finished Sunday's loss to the Lakers with 16 points (4-of-21 FGs, 8-of-8 FTs), seven rebounds, two assists, one steal and one blocked shot.
Analysis: Embiid had a rough night shooting the basketball. In addition to missing all six of his three-point attempts, the 7-footer shot 4-of-15 from inside the arc. Many of his attempts came in the mid-range, and explosiveness seems to still be an issue in the paint. However, fantasy managers should be encouraged by Embiid playing 30 minutes, the second time he's hit that number this season. The 76ers are off until Friday; hopefully, that time off will help Embiid as he works to get back to full strength.
Tyrese Maxey
Tyrese Maxey leads PHI with 28 points, nine dimes
Sun, Dec 7, 2025, 4:08 PM
Tyrese Maxey recorded 28 points (11-of-24 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), seven rebounds, nine assists, two steals, two blocks and five three-pointers in Sunday's loss to the Lakers.
Analysis: On a night when Joel Embiid and Paul George (12/6/3/1) combined to score 28 points on 7-of-29 shooting, Maxey did his best to keep the 76ers afloat. Unfortunately for him, another poor third quarter did in the 76ers, with the Lakers winning the period by a 34-24 margin. Maxey finished with another excellent stat line, and he continues to provide top-five value in eight- and nine-cat formats. The 76ers play games on Friday and Sunday during Week 8, starting with the Pacers at home.
Joel Embiid
PHI starts Maxey, VJ, George, Barlow, Embiid
Sun, Dec 7, 2025, 1:03 PM
Paul Hudrick
Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecombe, Paul George, Dominick Barlow and Joel Embiid will start Sunday's game against the Lakers.
Analysis: Embiid and George are good to go after being listed as probable on the initial injury report. While the latter's availability does not necessitate a change to the lineup, since he played in Friday's win over the Bucks, Embiid's return means Andre Drummond will come off the bench. Also of note, Edgecombe's minutes restriction should be lifted soon, but it probably won't happen on Sunday.
Joel Embiid
Joel Embiid (knees) probable Sunday vs. Lakers
Sun, Dec 7, 2025, 5:42 AM
NBA Injury Report
Joel Embiid (knees) has been upgraded to probable for Sunday's matchup with the Lakers.
Analysis: Embiid should reclaim his starting spot, which should push Andre Drummond back to the bench. Drummond should serve as Embiid's primary backup with Adem Bona picking up any remaining enter minutes.
Paul George
Paul George (knee) upgraded to probable Sunday
Sun, Dec 7, 2025, 5:40 AM
NBA Injury Report
Paul George (knee) is probable for Sunday's matchup with the Lakers.
Analysis: George has been a fixture on Philadelphia's injury report throughout the season, and that will likely be the case for the foreseeable future. With George set to take the court, Justin Edwards could see a reduction in playing time.
Paul George
Paul George (knee) questionable Sunday vs. LAL
Sat, Dec 6, 2025, 1:22 PM
NBA Injury Report
Paul George (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Lakers.
Analysis: George is back on the injury report as the 76ers look to manage his return from offseason knee surgery. If he's unable to play on Sunday, Justin Edwards' playing time would increase after logging just one minute in Friday's win over the Bucks. However, Edwards would be worth the risk in fantasy leagues.
Joel Embiid
Joel Embiid (knees) questionable Sunday vs. LAL
Sat, Dec 6, 2025, 1:19 PM
NBA Injury Report
Joel Embiid (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Lakers.
Analysis: Embiid did not play in Friday's win over the Bucks, so Andre Drummond started and Adem Bona slotted in as his backup. Expect the same rotation if the 76ers can't get their starting center back for the team's final game of Week 7.
Tyrese Maxey
Tyrese Maxey has 12 points Friday vs. Milwaukee
Fri, Dec 5, 2025, 6:03 PM
Tyrese Maxey added 12 points (5-of-14 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), four rebounds, four assists, four steals and one block in the win over the Bucks on Friday.
Analysis: Maxey had one of his least productive offensive performances of the season on Friday. He scored fewer the 20 points for the first time, due to inefficient shooting and relatively low volume, but also wasn't as productive as a passer against the Bucks. The versatile combo guard made up for his lack of offensive output on the defensive end, however. Philadelphia ultimately didn't need Maxey to be in top form, as the team cruised to a 15-point road win on the second night of a back-to-back. Maxey, one of the NBA's top scorers, likely won't have another performance like Friday's for a little while. He should resume his offensive domination on Sunday against the Lakers.
Quentin Grimes
Quentin Grimes scores 22 points off bench vs. MIL
Fri, Dec 5, 2025, 5:57 PM
Quentin Grimes totaled 22 points (7-of-9 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), four rebounds, five assists, and six three-pointers in the win over the Bucks on Friday.
Analysis: Grimes had the hot hand on Friday and used it to finish as the Sixers' leading scorer for the game. He was especially dialed in from deep, accounting for more than a third of Philadelphia's 17 made three-pointers on the evening, while also making contributions on the glass and finishing as one of the Sixers' most productive passers. Arguably, his only blemish was the five turnovers he committed, which were nearly half of Philly's total. Still, Grimes was productive off the bench and continues to find ways to contribute.
Paul George
Paul George scores 20 points Friday vs. Bucks
Fri, Dec 5, 2025, 5:49 PM
Paul George tallied 20 points (7-of-15 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), five rebounds, five assists, one steal and two three-pointers against the Bucks on Friday.
Analysis: George notched one of his better performances of the season on Friday. In his seventh appearance, the veteran wing reached the 20-point mark for the second time, while also tying a season-high in assists. Most importantly, George logged 30 minutes for the first time all season, which could serve as an encouraging sign in terms of where he's currently at from a health standpoint. His final line against the Bucks isn't elite by any means, but it should allow fantasy managers to at least be optimistic about George's potential this season.
